Lalalala-still loving it here (: #heaven.

Got our new companion!
---> SISTER HALL
she goes home in 2 months.....crazy.
She's pretty much my new best friend(: I love her.
She was sister cox's companion at one time! #memories
We share funny stories of her hahaha cuz there's 100s.

So we met this guy while walking around a neighborhood in Yardley. He
was doing construction on a house. We bore our testimonies and talked
to him about the church, and set up an appointment with him the next
day #wedontmessaround.
We get to the house the next day and he's not there :(
I tell my companions...."hey, let's just wait here for 8 minutes"
AND I KID YOU NOT by the time those 8 minutes were over his car pulled
up!! #miracle #thechurchistrue. We were able to teach him the
Restoration and he loved it! Yay for missionary work and giving
Heavenly Father opportunities to allow the spirit to work through us
as we took some time to just WAIT.

Our investigator Lydia came home from her month long trip to Germany.
She is getting baptized in september(: had a cool experience and have
now recently been starting to teach her mother. The gospel blesses
families (:

One of our favorite things to do is go to the DELAWARE RIVER and walk
along the path and talk to the people we see. Yesterday we spent like
30 mins there talking to people. We decided to ask people if they
could take our picture for us. They agreed and immediately they
started asking questions like where we were visiting from. (That's my
favorite question to get because it's so easy to relate/introduce the
gospel to them) because I say from Arizona and they always reply back
with wow you're far away! And then I bare my testimony of what an
awesome privilege to is for me to be serving the Lord on my mission.
Met this kid named Jessie. He had just finished going fishing. ((Side
note---it's my goal while I'm here to find someone to take me out
fishing! Hahah maybe he will take us sometime...yay) told him about
the Book of Mormon and he was excited to hear about it! Totally gave
us his phone number and thanked us for what we told him. Woot! Woot!
Conquering satan by finding one of Heavenly Father children at a time:)

We had stake conference this weekend. Super powerful and missionary
work focused.
We slept over at the pennypack sisters apartment to save our limited
miles we get every month since it was far. That was fun(: 5 sister
missionaries lol.

Our investigator Carmelina came to a relief society activity! She
loved it! So nice to see the sisters talking with her and making her
feel comfortable. We were even able to bring up the gospel and answer
some of her questions/concerns she had.
((Another side note to whoever reads this----missionary work is SO
EASY when you invite your nonmember friends to come have fun at an
activity put on by the ward or auxiliary. We succeed when we invite(:
super non threatening and it helps them see we're normal. Just some
advice for you guys to think about for the next activity coming up in
your ward!!!! I challenge you to invite your friends!!!! Let me know
how that goes))

Our relief society president said something last night that meant a
lot to me. She complimented us on how we are as missionaries. How we
act, what we do, our appearance etc...she shared how previous sisters
who served in this area didn't really maintain any of those things.
She was really impressed and noticed how big of a difference it makes
when we are put together.

THANK YOU. I mean c'mon everybody.....us missionaries are out here
representing our Savior, Jesus Christ! We gotta look the part!

Love you. I'm still loving it here in MORRISVILLE. PA. (:

It Just Keeps Getting Better!

Wanna hear about all the COOL things I did this past week? (That was
for you Kelly)

Oh hhhhheyyyyyy.
I am staying in morrisville.
So is sister wright!
BUT we are still going to transfer meeting.....which means:we are
getting a third companion(: yay for being in trios haha #funtimes
I just pray she's fun and crazy like me and likes to ruuuuuun.

Literally the days and weeks here just keep getting better and better.
Monday we went to Philly. Took the train....got lost...found our way.
Went to the Magic Garden. It was awesome! It's this huge building/maze
that an artist decided to turn/recycle trash into art! LOVED IT. we
went inside:) took 100 pictures and got some cool postcards

We stopped by one of our investigators and she didn't answer the door.
For some strange reason...we decided to just wait and stand outside
enjoying the sound of the rain hit the roof and ground and trees.
About 3 minutes later....SHE OPENS THE DOOR! Haha #miracle.
We were able to meet with her and share the plan of salvation with her
and she pretty much cried the whole time. Spirittttt. Afterwards we
stopped by some potential investigators. The first one was home and
super not interested..then we stopped by mike. #miraclestory

Here's what went down:
We knock on door.
Kendra(his 32yearold daughter answers the door)
We're like helloooo is mike home?
She says no and that it will be impossible for us to catch him because
his work hours are very crazy and unpredictable.
So were like aw man..alright..wellllll have you heard of our church
before?? Haha
We start talking and bearing testimony. About 7 minutes pass and mike
comes up riding his bike!!! We were so excited. Felt very prompted to
ask if they had just 10 minutes that we could share something with
them. They agreed. And jokingly mentioned how funny it would be if the
mom would show up because they are never home at the same time...we
start teaching the message of the restoration and about 2 minutes pass
and the mom comes home!!!! PERFECT. all 3 of them together. Continued
teaching. They were all so interested in everything we were saying and
loved every bit of It. The spirit was so strong and they recognized
the spirit in the room and us as representatives of Christ. They even
shared how they personally knew meeting us was no accident or
coincidence we showed up exactly when we did. I just love how Heavenly
Father works through me!! To help find these people and help change
their lives. Very humbling and testimony building. Trust in his
timing.

I got to call my brother frank while he was opening up his mission
call!! Ahhh so exciting.
I heard him say: "dear elder manson...." And the spirit just HIT me.
So pumped and excited and happy for him! He's going to Riverside,
California (: for 2 years & leaves in October.

We had the neat opportunity to have a mini missionary with us for 5
days. IT WAS THE BEST. She was so cute and excited to share the
gospel. Also she was super funny. Me and sis wright were cracking up
the whole time we were with her. We had this on going quote list from
the things she would say hahahaha I die every time I re-read them.

We set a goal at the beginning of the week to find 10 new investigators.
By Saturday we had 5. Haha so we were like gotta make it happen Sunday!
By the end of Sunday night we had 9! So close, didn't quite reach our
goal, but happy for the people we found and get to help with the
gospel.

Another cool miracle story:
There was an old record in our iPads about this women who we tried
stopping by sometimes. But we could never find her house because the
street name didn't exist!
We realized we had her number in our phone, so being smart.....we
called her, and SHE ANSWERED! K not only did she answer, she was so
excited that we called and invited us over for dinner!!
#thatNEVERhappens #likewhaaaat??! We were so pumped. So we had dinner
with her and her husband who turns out to be a suuuuper less active
member of the church! Hahaha really! Like double whaaaat?? Heavenly
Father knows what he's doing.
She really is interested and wants to learn more about the church.

ANOTHER miracle story:
We got a phone cal from one of the youth in our ward. He says that a
women he does service yard work for wants to learn about the church.
So were like sweeeet. He gives us her info and we call her up. She
said she wanted to come to church and was just so impressed by the
young men that helped her and wanted to learn more about the church
they belonged to. #thankstothemforbeingawesomeexamples. She came to
church yesterday!! Loved it, cried some, laughed some. Loved the whole
thing. She is great(:

I love being a missionary. Things have been seeming to just fall into
our laps here! It's crazy. We put forth a lot of effort and work hard
and things always work out and Heavenly Father helps us get to the
people who are ready to hear and accept the gospel.

The church is true & I love you(:

This was our mini missionary sister schuda. She spent 5 days with us.
She is 16 and super excited to go on a mission one day. Her family
joined the church 2 years ago(: they got sealed in the temple last
year! How awesome is that???? Love missionary work.

Zebra striped whale.

Days and weeks are going by so fast!!!!!
This is the last week of the transfer, so we get transfer calls on Friday.
Hopefulllllllly I'm staying (: and sister wright may or may not stay.
I'll let you know next week.

So we had a cool miracles this week. Likeeeee this area is on FIRE.
Pretty sure this area is the WHY to me being called to the PPM(:

our dinner appointment fell through one day so we decided to ask
another member we're close to if we could come over, they said yes so
we're eating dinner at their house and their son comes over with all
his friends. All of them but 1 were members of the church. So we had a
brilliant idea to share that awesome Mormon message to all of them. I
love working with the youth--their spirits are always so strong. And
it was definitely cool because there was someone there who wasn't a
member!

Had ice cream at this place called the Zebra Striped Whale. Literally
my favorite place in the world besides a Temple lol. It was so chill
inside and had so many good icecreames. If I wasn't on my mission I'd
be there everyday studying, reading and listening to music.

So last week, our zone leaders made us a promise. That if we wrote
down our testimony of Jesus Christ, and shared it to as many people as
we could, we would find a family to teach. I was like SWEEEET. Let's
do it haha.
Fast forwardddd 6 days later...........
On Wednesday we were walking around a neighborhood to some potential
investigators, before our dinner appointment. Stopped by a few people
and talked to some others..not a whole lot was happening. Before we
know it we have to start heading back so we wouldn't be late for
dinner. As we were walking back, I saw this man just sitting on his
porch.
I WANTED TO TALK TO HIM SO BAD. The spirit hit me way strong to go
talk to him...but I was like nahhh can't be late for dinner. So we
keep walking...past him. We turn a corner and sister wright makes the
comment of that she wanted to talk to that guy.
I was like...ME TOO!!!!!! So we decided to go back after dinner. So we
eat and then head back over. He wasn't outside anymore....so we
knocked on the door. And a women answers the door. And so I started to
explain that we just felt really impressed to talk to the guy who was
sitting on the porch. She laughed a little but it definitely got her
attention and we continued to talk about what we do and who we are. We
shared how Christ's church had been restored back to the earth and
gave her a Book of Mormon, we bore our testimonies of Christ and set
up a time to come back (which is on Tuesday....tomorrow!!!!) turns out
she's the wife of the man we saw....and they have 3 cute little kids!
#Wefoundafamily(:

One day this past week, we ate pizza........at the Delaware
river......in the rain!!!
Hahahaha I was in heaven. So fun:)

I received the best news of my life on my mission so far....
Remember my girl Jessie??! Go a few blogs back....
(Brief summary:back in Pottstown with sister cox. met her totally by a
miracle of the Lord's timing, (Stopped by to go see her mom, she had
met missionaries and we just had her information and felt like
stopping by. We drive alllllllll the way there--which was pretty
far--but right before we get out of the car, we get a phone call from
Kelly, asking us where we were for dinner haha we had gotten the times
confused! So we were like ahhh oops. So we don't even get out of the
car...and go straight to Kelly's. Then a couple days later we go back.
((Which was weird because it was waaaay out in the boonies of our
area, but for some reason we went back and that's when Jessie answered
the door!!! ((I'm a FIRM believer that we were meant to find Jessie
and if we had gotten out the first time we wouldn't have met her then
because maybe her mom might have answered the door instead and said
she wasn't interested? Idk..,there's 100 different reasonings as of
what could have happened) ever since then we have been talking to her
a lot on Facebook, she wasn't interested in converting or learning
about the gospel, so we introduced her to all the youth in our ward,
helped her with her math homework, she came to church for the first
time when it was my last Sunday in Pottstown to say goodbye to me,
she's been coming to mutual, and went to girls camp this past week)
I messaged her a couple days ago asking her about camp and what her
thoughts were about it....and she just was telling me all about how
much LOVE she felt there, and like she felt like she was h.o.m.e.

SHE MADE THE DECISION TO GET BAPTIZED!

Literally I love her so much! I feel like she's my baby hahaha...in a
spiritual gospel like way lol. Yup, she's pretty special to me. So
happy for her. I'm confident that the love she felt was probably
pretty close to Christ's love for her. Because this is HIS church.
Unfortunately I won't be able to go to her baptism just because of
mission rules since I'm no longer in Pottstown...but I'll hecka be
there in spirit!

I love being a missionary. I can't believe in one more month I'll only
have 6 months left
What the?!

We had a big all day meeting with a bunch of missionaries. So
uplifting and powerful,
Talked about the importance of scripture power, prayer, pondering,
meditating, and being in tune with the spirit. Sister Anderson (our
mission presidents wife) spoke about the initials for our mission:
PPM. (Pennsylvania Philadelphia Mission) and changed them into
standing for pray, ponder, meditate. And challenged us to ponder and
meditate for 30 mins each day for the next 30 days. Totally helps me
feel and get in tune with the spirit more. Looking at my personal
prayers...I say them...and then just quickly start to do other things
right afterwards. Like get into bed, or start studying or get in the
car or out of our apartment. I rarely take time afterwards to be still
and to wait and ponder. So that's going to really help me be even more
keen on the spirit.

Guys...the church is true!

Love(:

Down and Ups

The title explains our week!!!
Last Monday we went to Washington Crossing ( where Washington crossed the Delaware on Christmas to attack some people) hahah #imnohistorymajor. Just walked around and took a fun tour.

Tuesday was the sweetest day ever. Full of miracles.
We stopped by a member's friend she told us to go see. And she's so cool! She's from Georgia.....THE COUNTRY!!! (It's always been a dream of mine to meet someone from Georgia the country lol) she's really funny and was very intrigued by what we had to say about the Book of Mormon and having a living prophet today. She wants to learn more(:
We said a prayer.....a hand-holding prayer....hahah these are always so awkward but whatevz I've done a lot of them on my mission.

Remember last week about the women who called up our bishop and said she wanted to join the church now? Well we met with her, (her name is Cathy) and she's amazing!! She's 75 haha but acts like she's 50. It's great. She has a baptism date for September 7 (:
Afterwards we were walking to our car but remembered to ask sister dyott(a member who came to that lesson with us) about something so we were talking to her and then Cathy comes out and asks of we have another copy of the Book of Mormon. Hahaha of course we do! We carry 100s of them in our car hahah. She said she wanted to give it to her daughter Katie, who was in the other room because she was sick. Katie came out and we talked to her for a little. Direct quote from her: "I don't have a church...why not the Mormons!?"
Hahaha yes(: why notttttt.

We went and ate at tanners! A cute icecream shop and ate our icecream with some cows

After Tuesday the week was pretty rough..just normal missionary stuff of people canceling and appointments not working out. That's alright though.

Had dinner at the wares, and they fed us curry last night...NEW FAVORITE FOOD. And it was fast Sunday so I ate plentyyyyyy. Also..we ate skittles that their son had been eating who has strep throat....we didn't know until sister ware comes and starts yelling don't eat the skittles haha we'd had like 30 by then...so hopefully we don't get strep this week.....?? Say yo prayers for me!!!

Me and sis wright were under the Yardley train tunnel while a train was going over!!!! That's been my goal since being here haha we were walking and a little bit from the tunnel, and we see a train coming! We both look at each other and without a word start sprinting to get in the tunnel :) it was so loud and scary.

Made 2 people cry!. I love it when people cry, that means I'm doing my job right. #SPIRIT
Philippians 4...read it! the spirit is so strong when we've read it out loud together with them.

Met someone who's husband past away a couple years ago and she wants us to come back! We said a prayer with her and she is really sweet.
Also met this kid (said he was a junior in high school) while we were walking. He was sitting on a bench and looked really sad. So I was like sister wright lets go talk to him! It was weird I felt like I was being drawn to him, he felt familiar, like a brother. His name is Cody and we bore testimony of Gods love for him. He said: "you can really promise me that god loves me?" We're like YES!! Gave him a plan of salvation pamphlet and we're friends on Facebook. Hopefully we will get in contact with him again and help him with the gospel! And the Book of Mormon(:

Had a powerful meeting with a bunch of missionaries this past Thursday. Talked about our character and our desires and accepting the atonement.
They did a little object lesson where we all stood up. And elder kofford had to do 10 push-ups for us to sit down and to get a donut. There was about 15 of us and he did 10 push-ups for all of us!! By the 8th one he was exhausted, but kept going. Some people didn't even take a donut but he still had to do their push-ups. There was a spiritual Parrelle to that about excepting Christ's atonement. I was totally doing fine tears wise until the very end when he was done and an elder gave him a hug! Haha then I just lost it. Because it made me think of all of us giving our savior a hug. #oneday

There's a new Mormon message out and if you haven't seen it yet, watch it!!!!!! We taught Sunday school and it was really powerful, it's called the hope of Gods light. We showed it and a lot of people, including both our and the elders investigators were crying.

The church is true!
I read a talk this morning called be your best self

And it talked about 3 things
1 study diligently
2 pray fervently
3 live righteously

Love those things. Do itttttt.

Have a good week
Love you
{sister.manson}
